“Tranquil, beautiful setting- lovely, friendly host.”

June 2017
Stayed here for ten days. Fantastic setting, stunning location. Wake with birdsong and the gentle, distant cascade from the Clettwr river, enjoy a drink on the terrace, under the stars at night. Life doesn't get better than this. Well furnished, cosy, light and airy accommodation. Owner Donald is very approachable, friendly and practical. I can't recommend "Weavers Cottage" enough.

“A tranquil well equipped home from home”

September 2015
My 78 year aunt, 13 and 11 year old son and I spent a week here in late August. Despite changeable weather, awe had a lovely time.
There is no mobile coverage here but Donald's WiFi is fast and reliable. There's a TV with the free sky channels (although we only turned it on once. There are plenty of shops, a petrol station and cash points within 10 minutes drive.
When you sit out on the decking you can hear the roar of the river.
I was afraid my tweenkies would get bored but we went to Oakwood theme park, Blue Lagoon water park, Pendine Sands and Newquay. There's plenty of outdoor stuff to do and it's all so pretty and green.
The beds are comfy and Donald is very welcoming. Can't wait to come back.

“Mrs”

This is a really lovely place to stay. Warm, comfortable with every amenity you could hope for. Donald is a good host and we were grateful for the supplies that were there to greet us. The surroundings are tranquil, you can hear the river from the decking. There are endless outdoor pursuits and it's a good starting point to explore...

“Excellent week-end in sunny Wales”

September 2015
What an excellent location and such an excellent host in a picturesque surrounding and the locals are charming, good natured people whose first language is Welsh but do not mind conversing with you in English and sharing some of their thoughts. Where can you get a small chalet less than 100 yards from a traditional woollen mill still producing some of the finest woollen blankets in Wales? Woollen mills are unfortunately a dying tradition, so be quick, there are bargains not to be missed! If you like wool and weaving, the national wool museum is only 10 miles away and features some of Rock Mill's weaving patterns. Excellent cycling experience too as the owner has a shed to lock your expensive bikes for the night. There are some flat bits amongst the hills, the roads are good for a pleasant and easy bike ride, but remember that there are some pretty steep slopes too (12% to 14% occasionally).
